HOW TO CLEANSE OUR MIND AND BODY AND MAINTAIN THEIR PURITY?
OMNIPOTENT SAYS:-
'Shuchih' means purity - it does not merely refer to the external cleanliness of the physical body. Your mind gets polluted by wrong thoughts and bad feelings. If you let your mind be continuously filled with evil thoughts, you will reap bad consequences. Hence give no room to wrong thoughts and feelings, and expel all negativity. Your body must be free from the taint of violence or harm (himsa). People commit many acts of violence and many sinful deeds with their hands; this is incorrect. The body has been given primarily for practicing righteousness (Dharma). Such a sacred gift must be used for rendering service to others. No one can refrain from action of some kind, even for a minute. Under no circumstances, should one engage in any impure act. You must achieve this purity with firm determination.

FOR ALL THE GOODNESS WE RECEIVE, DO WE EXPRESS GRATITUDE ENOUGH?
OMNIPOTENT SAYS:-
Every object in the world, whether it is a bird or a sheep or anything else, has a value of its own. Man alone has lost his value because of his involvement in mundane pursuits. People have no gratitude to the five elements which confer on them gratis innumerable precious benefits like light, heat, air and water. You have to pay a price for so many small amenities like electricity and running water. But what price does you pay for the light of the Sun who illumines the world? This light is a gift of the Divine. What price do you pay for a soft breeze or a heavy downpour of rain? God is providing freely such precious benefits to you. What gratitude do people show to God for all these? The only way to show one's gratitude to the five elements is Smarana (to chant the Lord's name incessantly).

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO CELEBRATE ONAM!!
The story of the festival Onam is that of Emperor Bali, who was an embodiment of sacrifice (Thyaga), but who suffered from traces of ego (Ahamkara). Due to the predominance of other virtues and Lord Vishnu's Grace, Emperor Bali overcame the ill-effects of ahamkara and attained mergence with Lord Vishnu, who appeared as Vamana. Bali personified the principles of sacrifice, charity and righteousness till his very end. Since Onam festival day is celebrated in memory of the re-appearance of Bali in his subtle form (sukshma rupa), it is imperative that we remember and practice the ideals for which he lived. Bali, as portrayed above, should be visiting us every day and not just once a year. We forget this and in our daily life leave ample room for the cultivation of undesirable traits such as greed, selfishness and egoism. Learning from Bali's life you must eradicate the negative traits at all costs, and render your heart pure for the Lord to reside in it.

HOW CAN ONE LIVE IN THE WORLD YET NOT BE ATTACHED TO IT?
A young college student can roam free on his two legs; when he marries, he becomes four-footed! A child makes him six-footed; now the range of his movements is restricted. The more the feet, the less the speed, the stronger their grip on the ground; a centipede can only crawl. More hurdles, more handicaps. Accumulation of sofas, chairs, cots, tables and shelves clutter the hall and render movements slow and risky. Attachment brings sorrow in its wake; at last, when death demands that everything be left behind and everybody be deserted, you are overpowered with grief! Be like the lotus on water; on it, not in it. Water is necessary for the lotus to grow; but it will not allow even a drop to wet it. The objective world is the arena of virtue and the gymnasium for the spirit. But use it only for that purpose; do not raise it to a higher status and adore it as all-important.

WHAT IS THE REAL SECRET TO EXPERIENCING HAPPINESS?
No one will like the one who is conceited and egotistic. Even your spouse and your own children, though they may appear to respect you externally, will not be happy with you, when you are an arrogant person. Not just that, as long as you are filled with ego, it is highly unlikely that you will really be happy. Therefore at the very outset, you should get rid of your ego (ahamkara). So too, when you are filled with anger, you cannot experience joy; you are bound to be miserable. Only when you subdue anger you will be able to experience happiness. Similarly, when you are filled with insatiable desires, you will not really feel wealthy. The moment you give up desires, all riches will come to you. If you stay greedy, you will be a stranger to happiness. Give up greed, and you will feel endowed with all riches.

WHY IS THERE SO MUCH CONFLICT IN THE NAME OF CASTE AND RELIGION?
Today there is much controversy and conflict that brews amongst all religions. There is nothing wrong with any religion. All religions are here to teach good sense. All religions propose the same Truth; they adore the same One God and the essence of all texts is the same. Hence every being must depend upon their own sanctity and morality, and try to nurture them. Morality is the lamp within every individual. Without this lamp, there will only be darkness around. This is the essence of the chant, "Lead us from untruth to truth, from darkness to light, and from death to immortality (Asathoma Sadgamaya, Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya, Mruthyorma Amrutham Gamaya)". Sages searched for God and finally declared that they have identified Him and have known Him. Where did they see God? It is within their hearts. They said that they saw the Absolute Being who is beyond all darkness.

HOW TO ENSURE OUR LOVE FOR GOD GROWS WITH EVERY PASSING DAY
OMNIPOTENT SAYS:-
All have faith in the power of love. But how is this love to be fostered and developed? This question may arise in the minds of many. When people ask, "How can we develop our love for the Lord?" The answer is: "There is only one way. When you put into practice the love in which you have faith, that love will grow." Because you do not practise what you profess, your faith gets weakened. A plant will grow only when it is watered regularly. When you have planted the seed of love, you can make it grow only by watering it with love every day. The tree of love will grow and yield the fruits of love. Often people today do not perform those acts which will promote love. When you wish to develop love for the Lord, you must continually practice loving devotion to the Lord.

WHERE IN THE WORLD WE CAN GET THE PRECIOUS COMMODITY LOVE
Love is a precious diamond that can be got only in the realm of love and nowhere else. The kingdom of Love is located in every love-filled heart. Love can be experienced only in a mind flowing with love. The precious diamond of Love cannot be obtained merely through meditation or following prescribed sacred rituals. At best they only give mental satisfaction. The greater your love for God, the greater is the bliss you experience. When love declines in you, your joy also declines proportionally. Hence you must fill your heart with love for God. Love will not enter your heart if it is already filled with selfishness and self-conceit. Hence forget your petty self and concentrate your thoughts on God. If you love God, you will see Him everywhere. The essence of all spiritual disciplines is contained in Love.
